Why are prices so different from country to country?
Prices vary depending on the special taxes imposed to products and services by each country
Why are Habanos so much more expensive than other cigars?
The quality of the Habanos depends on the following four factors:
• Climate
• Soil
• Knowledge of the Cuban farmers and twisters
• Different types of black Cuban tobacco
Despite several attempts to reach the quality of an authentic Habano, in other regions of the planet using seeds from Cuban origin, these have never been able to get close to the quality of the Cuban grown tobacco. The combination of climate conditions with the characteristics of the Cuban soil, make the Habano an authentic Cuban product, certified by the “designation of origin” stamp engraved on the boxes of the different Cuban brands.
Why is the humidor so important?
Habanos can be kept for a long time. Like exceptional wines, they will get better with the pass of time, but they require certain specific humidity and temperature conditions to maintain their original characteristics. The use of the humidor generates ideal conditions for the preservation of such a prestigious product.
Preservation conditions:
• Temperature between 16 º C and 18 º C
• Relative humidity between 65 % and 70 %
